Hi! I'm Yuko!

Capturing Love & Connection
Every family has a story, and I feel incredibly lucky to document the love, laughter, and connections that make each one unique. Since moving to New York City in 2018, this vibrant and dynamic city has transformed not only my life but also my photography. What started as a childhood dream became reality when I began capturing the beautiful moments of my friends' families.
As a NYC family and wedding photographer, I am inspired by the energy, diversity, and artistry that fill this incredible city. From quiet, intimate moments at home to the bustling streets and scenic parks, I strive to create timeless images that reflect the love and essence of New York families. I would be honored to tell your family’s story through my lens.
I am fueled with the energy of love that I received through my lens!
As an empath and storyteller, I believe my deep sensitivity allows me to capture raw, heartfelt emotions through my lens. Every fleeting moment—every glance, embrace, and joyful tear—deserves to be preserved, and I am passionate about turning these moments into timeless photographs. As a New York City wedding photographer, I am endlessly curious about what makes each couple and family unique, and I strive to document your love in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.
Beyond weddings and family sessions, I am committed to making my photography accessible and inclusive for all. I am especially passionate about empowering women of color and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as entrepreneurs and artists who need photography to grow their businesses and share their stories. If you or someone you know could benefit from my work, I would love to connect.
When I'm not behind the camera, I’m a homeschooling parent to my two little ones, exploring everything NYC has to offer—from museums to Broadway shows—while also cherishing our quiet life in Uptown Manhattan. And when we’re not in the city, we’re making memories in Japan, where I grew up.
If you’re looking for a New York City photographer who will document your wedding, love story, or family with care, empathy, and artistry, I’d be honored to work with you. Let’s create something beautiful together!
Here are a few fun facts about me!
✨ I attended a small liberal arts college in Maryland and studied abroad in Hong Kong and China. My love for travel and culture deeply influences my photography.
🍣 My absolute favorite foods are dim sum and sushi—you’ll often find me hunting for the best spots in New York City!
📸 I bought my first DSLR camera with my very first paycheck after college. Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a fashion merchandiser for a major retail chain in Japan.
👶 My journey into photography truly began when I became a mom and left my full-time job. After the pandemic, I started capturing my friends’ families and fell in love with documenting the beauty of everyday life.
🎶 I’m a huge live music fan, especially jazz, but I also have a soft spot for early 2000s boy bands (yes, they're still “tearing up my heart” 😉).
📷 The professional photoshoots I’ve had for myself? My wedding, my births (first in water, second at home!), and our annual family holiday card session—because preserving memories is just as important to me as it is to my clients.
I’d love to help tell your family’s story through my lens. If you're looking for a New York City photographer who values authentic moments and real emotions, let’s connect!
